Instagram with Facebook | How To Login with Instagram with Facebook: The two networks are getting closer and providing more integration since Facebook bought Instagram. Linking Instagram and Facebook is a no-brainer whether you’re a social media marketer, and Owner of small companies, or just like distributing content over networks. Through all of them, you can share content and make the most of the power of visual content. To save precious seconds, you can also log on to Instagram via Facebook.
Typically, I’m all about holding networks apart, not sharing too much information among them. This changes when it comes to ads. It’s all about efficiency and, with the least effort, having the greatest possible reach. It helps to do that by linking Instagram with Facebook. You can post it with a single click on both sites, so it makes sense to do it.

- Open Instagram on your phone.
- Log in, select your profile, and then choose the Settings menu.
- Select Account and Linked Accounts.
- Select ‘Start Sharing on Facebook’
- Select Facebook and log in with your Facebook account details. Give the app permissions when requested.
- Select where to share on Facebook.
- Go back to Linked Accounts and select Facebook. Make sure the ‘Share with Facebook’ option for Stories and Posts is enabled.
It’s that. You will be asked by Facebook who will see your messages, Friends, Everybody, or Nobody. If you intend on using the marketing accounts, you should pick Everybody. If you’re experimenting, hang on to Mates. These permissions can still be changed later.
Where to share, you will be asked—timeline, company page, for example, or elsewhere. Pick a ‘company page’ if you’re marketing. If you think this doesn’t work out for you, all you need to do is go back to Instagram’s Connected Accounts tab. Pick Facebook and choose Account Unlink.

Log into Instagram through Facebook
For some other apps or websites, you can log into one network from the other in the same way you can log in to Facebook. Only open Instagram on your phone and choose to login to Facebook. You will automatically be logged in if you are already logged in to Facebook. If you do not, when asked, add your Facebook username and press the blue Login button.
You can also do the same thing if you set up a new Instagram account. Install Instagram and pick the password for Facebook as above. You will then create an account and link it to your account on Facebook. The only issue with this is that it will give you a random username and password unless you edit it.
To edit your default Instagram login details
- Log into Instagram using the Facebook login.
- Select the Settings menu and select Edit Profile.
- Select your username and change it to something more personal.
- Check the Email Address to ensure it is correct. Tap it to edit.
- Go back to the settings menu and select Accounts.
- Select Reset Password from the list.
To reset your password, you should see a message that says something like ‘We sent an email to ADDRESS.’ The email address is the one you have in your account. That’s why, in Step 4, I’m asking you to search the email as we need to access it to reset the link with a password. Please check your email address, follow the link, and enter a unique password. Your Instagram account is all yours right now.
You can make these modifications on the web if you prefer. To update your Instagram profile, use this link and this link to order a password reset. As the final product, the principle is the same.
You can still log in via Facebook to Instagram, but you’ve set up your account to be viewed separately now. You can directly change your profile image, add a bio, and alter your Instagram account as you want, and your username will not be affected.
How to Unlink Your Instagram Account
So, you have your two accounts connected, which means that your content can be cross-posted. Even what can you do if you don’t want to link the two of them? You can do so without losing your messages, whether you are deactivating your Facebook account or only trying to distinguish the two services.
All you need to do is follow the same steps as above and, in the Linked Accounts option, tap ‘Unlink Account.’ Before you uninstall it, your Facebook profile will still hold your Instagram info, and you’ll need to delete all of your Facebook Instagram messages, but here’s more about that.
