Recover Your Facebook Password
The first step is to recover your password. To do this,
- Tap on the “Forgot Your Password” link on Facebook’s home screen. Once you do this, you’ll be presented with a couple of options. You can go for the simplest option which is Reset Password Using Email Address.
In case you do not have access to that email account anymore, you can choose to answer security questions or have trusted contacts get your security code for you.
Deactivate Your Facebook Account
The next option to consider is whether you want to temporarily deactivate your Facebook account and get back to it whenever you wish or permanently delete your Facebook account to get rid of everything Facebook.
After your password has been reset, and you have access to your account, tap on the gear icon, choose Settings, tap Security, and thereafter select Deactivate Your Account. Deactivating your account is only a temporary option, once you log into your account, it becomes active again.
How to Delete Facebook Account without Password
To permanently delete your account;
- Scroll to the Delete Your Account page. (https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account)
- Next, tap on Settings and tap Your Facebook Information in the left column
- Tap Deactivation and Deletion.
- Thereafter, choose Delete Account, and tap Continue to Account Deletion.
Once all the aforementioned steps have been taken, you can request for permanent deletion. Once your account has been permanently deleted after the 90 days period given by Facebook, you can bid farewell to your Facebook account and other affiliated services of Facebook like Spotify or Pinterest except you request the website or apps to recover those accounts.
