About GTbank – Guaranty Trust Bank PLC, usually known as GTBank or simply GTB, is a Nigerian multinational financial corporation based on Victoria Island, Lagos, that offers online/internet banking, retail banking, corporate banking, investment banking, and asset management services. Guaranty Trust Bank’s second share sale in 2004 garnered around N11 billion from Nigerian investors, enabling the bank to expand its operations. On July 26, 2007, GTBank became the first bank from Sub-Saharan Africa and the first Nigerian joint stock company to be listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Deutsche Börse. The initial public offering (IPO) garnered $750 million in the United States. In the same year, they successfully launched Nigeria’s first private Eurobond offering on foreign capital markets.
