The pictures you see on Instagram can be saved as well.

 Working With Instagram Devices

Instagram is available for free on iOS devices, such as the iPhone and iPad, and Android devices, such as Google phones and tablets, Samsung, and others.

It is accessible from a computer, on the internet as well. However, it is only possible to upload images and videos and share existing content from a smartphone app with other Instagram users.

Creating an Instagram account

Instagram asks you to build a free account before you can use the app. You can sign up by email or through your current Facebook account. A username and a password are all you need. Your Instagram email address can be updated at any time.

You may be asked if you want to follow people on your Facebook network who are on Instagram. You may do this directly or skip through the process and then come back to it.

If you have one when you first get on Instagram, it’s a good idea to customize your profile by adding your name, a picture, a short bio, and a website link. They’ll want to know who you are and what you’re like when you follow people and look for people to follow you back.

As a social network, use Instagram

The main intention on Instagram is to share the best images and videos and find them. There are followers, and the following count for each user profile, representing how many people they follow and how many other users follow them.

There is a button on every user profile that you can tap to follow them. If a user has their private profile configured, they must first approve your submission.

When your profile is created and made public, your profile, along with your photos and videos, can be found and viewed by anyone. Set the profile to private if you only want your posts to be seen by the followers you approve.

It is enjoyable and quick to connect with posts. To like it or add a comment at the bottom, double-tap any message. To share it with others using Instagram Direct, you can also click on the arrow icon.

Use the search tab (marked by the magnifying glass icon) to browse through if you want to find or add more friends or interesting accounts to follow. personalized posts recommended to you. To look for specific users or hashtags, you can also use the search icon at the bottom.

Apply filters and edit your posts on Instagram

Instagram, in terms of posting options, has come a long way since its early days. Users could only upload images via the app when launched in 2010 and add filters without any additional editing functionality.

Today, on your device, you can post through the app or from existing photos or videos. You can also upload images and videos for up to one full minute, and you have several additional filter options, plus tweaking and editing capabilities.

select the photo or video tab when you tap the middle Instagram posting tab to let the app know if you want to post a picture or take a video. Use the Library to pick something that you have stored if you don’t want to catch it via the app.

Instagram has 40 filters that can be applied to videos and photos. Some extra options for photo editing allow you to straighten the image, adjust things like brightness and warmth and color overlay. You can disable audio, pick a cover picture, and trim videos if you are using the iOS app for videos. Or, to make 15-second video clips, try Instagram Reels.

Share your posts on Instagram.

You are taken to a tab where, after adding an optional filter and making some edits, you can fill out a caption, tag other users, then tag it to a geographical location, and simultaneously upload it to your other social networks.

Your followers will display it in their feeds and engage with it once it is released. You may delete a post or edit the post information after publishing it by pressing the three dots at the end. You can configure Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr to have photos posted to your Instagram account. If, as opposed to remaining gray and inactive, these sharing settings are highlighted, your Instagram photos are posted automatically to your social networks after selecting Share. Tap one so that it’s gray and set to Off if you don’t want your image posted on some specific social network.

Instagram Stories View and Publish

Instagram has a feature called Stories, a secondary feed at the top of your main feed. It contains the users’ photo bubbles you follow.

To see that user’s story or the stories they have published over the last 24 hours, tap a bubble. You may notice how similar the Instagram Stories feature is to it if you’re familiar with Snapchat.

Tap your photo bubble from the main feed or swipe right on any tab to access the Stories camera tab to publish your story.
