Who Is Checking up on Your Facebook Profile?

While it’s true that Facebook gathers a large number of details about its users, especially those who visited our profile, they don’t share that information with anyone. Facebook cares about the privacy of its users, so they consider this data to be strictly confidential. It says that we should report any third-party application that claims that it can provide us with this type of information.

This means that such apps do exist, but their accuracy has not been proven. Not surprisingly, many of them don’t owe you any value for false details. These applications or companies are asking you to permit them to view your profile and private information. Not only can they access your personal information, but they can also even infect your computer with malware or spread spam.

Facebook considers our details private, so many of the apps that claim to show your Facebook viewers are scams. Instead, they will have access to your social media profile pages before you manually revoke them.

What about Social Profile View Notification?

The Social User View Notification or Facebook Profile Viewer is a Google Chrome extension that says you can be alerted if anyone views your profile. However, according to users, the extension only warns you if the person who viewed your face is an extension user as well.

How to Install and Use This Extension

Find the Social Profile Display Notification Extension in the Chrome Web Store and install the plugin. After then, log in to your Facebook profile account, and you will find a new menu on your Facebook page called ‘Visitors.’ Immediately you click on it, a pop-up with a list of your Facebook visitors will show up along with the date of their visit. Therefore, if anyone sees your profile, you will see a notification that shows their name and time of visit, as long as they are users of the extension.

It seems too easy to be accurate as it just allows the Chrome browser to install the plugin, but that’s what this extension says. This doesn’t have anything to do with, you know, Facebook, but Facebook cares about the privacy of its users.

You’re curious if you can see who’s viewed your Facebook profile? While Facebook does not display this information as private, third-party applications say that they can show you your Facebook guests. One of them is the Google Chrome extension called the Social Profile Display Note. Although its accuracy is not proven, it is up to you to determine whether to use it and trust the data it offers.
