D’banj | Biography, Net worth, and Car’s Collection of D’banj: Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, rapper, entrepreneur, and television personality. He got his stage name, D’banj, as a combination of his first name, Dapo, and his surname, Oyebanjo, and he is called Kokomaster or Bangalee. In Zaria, in the northern part of Nigeria, he was born to a military officer who commanded an artillery regiment and a devoted church pastor, a Shagamu businesswoman, in Ogun. Because of his father’s military rank, he traveled to several states in Nigeria and later moved to England.

D’banj was expected to follow his father’s military career and was taken to the Nigerian Military Academy when he was eleven. D’banj opposed the scheme and was expelled from the school after three years. He was a member of the prestigious drum corps of the Nigerian Army while attending military school. They participated at another military college, Nigerian Navy High School, Ibara, Abeokuta, where he was a church worker. There, he completed his secondary education. D’banj studied mechanical engineering at Lagos State University. Still, because of the frequent strikes and other irregularities or vices in the school, he decided to withdraw, and he went to London to complete his degree.

Dbanj has put a lot of effort into his career, and his performance is predicted to be worth about 5.8 billion nairas in 2020 due to his consistency so far. He has bagged so many endorsement deals in his career, including re-signing a multi-million Naira agreement with Globacom in November 2013 and signing a Heritage Bank contract in June 2014. In October 2014, D’banj was named by Dre to be the new African ambassador for Beats. D’banj was appointed official African ambassador for Ciroc Nigeria in February 2015. D’banj was made the brand ambassador of SLOT in September 2015. He is also one of the richest musicians in Nigeria.

He is the founder of the Koko Foundation of Youth and Peace Development. In Nigeria, he was the first United Nations Youth Envoy for Peace. Dbanj is also ONE AFRICA’s campaign ambassador and released the song ‘Cocoa Na Chocolate’ to encourage agricultural investment. At the All Africa Music Awards in 2014, 18 other African artists were included in the song and won Best African Collaboration.

World Bank Chief Jim Yong Kim credited him with using his musical influence, platform, and celebrity status in 2015 to put Africa’s significant and critical issues to the fore, with a particular focus on agricultural growth and the alleviation of poverty.
