A woman was charged after the police said she stole and sold an entire building in the metro through the newly launched Facebook Marketplace.
According to the court documents, the victim was on using the Facebook Marketplace and noticed that someone had listed his structure for sale. He then sent the information to the police so they would know exactly where to start searching.
The victim also saw photos of his metal garage on the same Facebook Marketplace, according to the affidavit. The photos showed people in the process dismantling the structure.

The victim said his structures were being sold for $1,500, but it’s worth about $6,000.
Some days after noticing the Facebook Marketplace listing, police finally met with Vicki Treaster, 36, who they said had listed the building for sale. The court documents state that she initially lied to the police about where she got it, then said a friend gave her permission to take the building.
That friend happened to be the victim’s brother, but the victim informed the police that his brother hasn’t lived in Oklahoma for many years and had sold it to him before he actually left.
Police went back to Treaster with the information given by the victim. Police reported that she started switching up her story, changing who authorized her to take the structure.
According to the police, the victim told investigators he never gave any permission to anyone to take his building.
During a criminal history checkup, investigators had learned that Treaster had several prior burglary convictions and the man who helped dismantle the building also had cases prior. Treaster has now been charged with one count of grand larceny and one count of unlawfully using a computer network to get money.
