It’s that fantastic time of the year where you get to spend time with friends, family, and loved ones! A time to catch up on the events of the year, a time to show love and be loved, a time to sit by the fireplace and warm up with hot cups of chocolate and singing all the Christmas carols you know, and my all-time favorite, it’s that time to stuff up on food and visit lots of people, lol.

Well, whatever this time of the year signifies to you, you should have a bucket list of things to do, places to go to and different types of food you would want to try out and what better way to do all three than to go vacationing? Taking a trip to a different place will help you unwind and achieve all three all at the same time. So, we’ve come up with a list of places we know will be very interesting to travel to. There, you can meet people of different colors, races, and languages.

BEST PLACES TO VACATION IN THIS CHRISTMAS

London, England:

While here, think of warm-scones, ice skating, performances, and rides and games, that whole winter-in-wonderland experience.

Carmel by the Sea, California:

Temperate California climate, vineyards, hiking galore, top-notch spa treatments, world-class golf course, all these and more can be found at the Carmel Valley Ranch in California.

The Maldives:

In Vakkaru Island lies a reef island composed entirely of sediment produced on the surrounding coral reefs. Here, you can perform all the aquatic activities you can think of -snorkeling, diving, whale watching, etc. On New year’s eve, you can attend the beach carnival with live acts, music, a gourmet menu, cocktails, and fireworks. Be sure to visit their Christmas market while you are there!

Aspen, Colorado:

In Aspen, you get world-class skiing, cuisine, retail, and a great nightlife scene

Washington, Connecticut:

This is where many of New York City’s see and be seen crowd retreats for the holidays

Jerusalem, Israel:

Jerusalem offers an enriching and historical holiday break–from exploring the Western Wall, Holy Sepulcher, Tower of David, Bethlehem (look for a Christmas Eve tour), and the Mount of Olives.

Donegal, Ireland:

While you are here, be sure to try out the Christmas Eve buffet and baking activities for kids.

The Big Island, Hawaii:

While you are here, be sure to take tours over volcanoes, snorkel with sea turtles, and enjoy one of a kind sea to dining

Lapland, Finland:

In Lapland, it’s capital, Rovaniemi is known as the “Official Hometown of Santa Claus”. Your kids can encounter elves, play with Rudolf and his reindeer, and decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus, and for you, there’s snowmobile safaris, husky rides, and Northern Light hunting

Nantucket, Massachusetts:

With streets that are straight out of a holiday storybook and a whole town that turns into a block party, you’ll feel like you are stepping into Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol.

Malta:

Residents always make sure to display their holy crib confections to the public. Eat as much as you like!

New York:

One of the places to visit while in New York is the Rockefeller Center. With its famed ice-rink that has been there for over 70 years and its Christmas tree fully decorated and lighted, you will be amazed!

Bath, England:

One of the things to look out for includes the Christmas market and of course, the celebration of Jesus Christ which is done with so much fanfare.

Nuremberg, Germany:

As its highlight, it offers include a giant carved wooden Ferris wheel, old-fashioned carousel, and a steam train.

Honololu, Hawaii:

Here you get to see Mr. Claus a.k.a. Shaka Santa at 6 meters tall (almost 20 feet) dressed down in red shorts and open shirt — takes pride of place downtown, seated next to his mu’umu’u-wearing wife, Tutu Mele.

Santa Claus, Indiania, USA:

As one of its highlights, you get to see the Land of Lights display which is a 1.2-mile drive around the Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort and various Christmas-themed events.

 

So, there you go, take a vacation, give yourself a treat and you will be glad you did.
