  • Default Printing Service can be found in Settings > Connected Devices > Connection Preferences > Printing > Default Printing Service.
  • Depending on your Android OS and phone maker, the exact position of the printing settings can differ.
  • Set the Default Print Service to On.
  • Switch on your printer that can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. It should now show up in the list of Default Print Services.
  • Open the file you want to print after exiting Settings.

While displaying the file in the app, tap the Menu icon. Depending on your Android OS and phone maker, it typically appears like three stacked dots in the upper right corner of the screen.

  • To print, press the Print button.
  • To pick your printer, tap the Select a Printer list at the top of the page.
  • Select the printer you want to use by tapping its name. If a confirmation pop-up appears, tap OK to proceed.

How to Use Your Printer’s App to Print

You can also use your printer’s software to print from your Android phone. The majority of brands have a smartphone printing app.

  • Default Printing Service can be found in Settings > Connected Devices > Printing > Default Printing Service.
  • Select Add service from the drop-down menu. The printing service page will appear in the Google Play store.

Find your printer manufacturer’s app by scrolling through the list. Consider the following scenario:

  • Open the app that contains the document you want to print.

  • To print, press the Print button. This choice can be found under the Share menu, depending on your phone manufacturer and Android OS.
  • Choose a printer and wait for your printout to arrive.
