It’s not always easy to track Instagram comments (let alone see all Instagram comments) on the app—especially if you get a lot of them. Fortunately, there are at least a few resources available to assist you with this (both free and paid).

1. ON THE WEB INSTAGRAM

Consider using the web version of Instagram to monitor your Instagram comments if you’re looking for a low-cost or free option. This could be your best choice if all you really need is a mechanical keyboard to type comment answers faster. The main drawback is that Instagram.com hasn’t yet caught up to the app in terms of comment reply and deletion capabilities. You can at the very least like a comment by hovering your cursor over it and selecting the heart icon that appears beside it, or manually respond by typing the username into the comment field.

2. FOR INSTAGRAM HOOTSUITE

You should see a button called Add a Social Network at the top of your dashboard when you sign up for a free HootSuite account. By selecting this option, you will be able to link your Instagram account to HootSuite.

After you’ve added a new My Posts Instagram stream to your dashboard, you’ll see a stream of your posts in reverse order, just like on your own Instagram profile (most recent at the top and oldest at the bottom).

To see all comments, click the speech bubble icon immediately underneath the message. Unfortunately, HootSuite, like Instagram’s web edition, lacks the built-in reply button for commenters that the Instagram app does, as well as the ability to remove comments from HootSuite, which is a bummer for those who want to handle and edit comments rather than just display them.

3. FOR INSTAGRAM AND FACEBOOK ICONOSQUARE

Iconosquare (formerly Statigram) is the most popular Instagram analytics and marketing tool, and it links directly to your account so you can control comments, see which images performed better, see how many followers you lost, and much more. This platform allows you to navigate your entire Instagram experience in ways that no other platform allows.

Signing up for Iconosquare is free, and you’ll get access to some basic features as well as a 14-day trial of the premium features, which includes comment management. In addition to all of Instagram’s other analytics and management functionality, it also includes advanced comment monitoring and moderation, which allows you to view your most recent comments, mark them as read, respond to them individually, and remove them.

Iconosquare’s comment tracker is suitable for Instagram accounts with a lot of interaction and when a user requires a clean, easy interface to control comments (ideally on a desktop computer). Most influencers, brands, and companies can afford it at about $30 a month.

4. For Instagram, there’s SproutSocial.

If you’re serious about social media marketing and want to handle other social networks in addition to Instagram, SproutSocial may be a better fit than Iconosqaure. SproutSocial is one of the best social media management applications on the market, with a wide range of features and the ability to monitor Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts.

SproutSocial’s super easy and functional interaction feature, which collects all of your Instagram comments in one location, is available for a 30-day trial period. Its one-of-a-kind Smart Inbox feature distinguishes it as one of the best social media management tools currently available.

For complete social media management and access to all of the latest resources and features, Sprout Social is the platform to use. If you’re in charge of an Instagram account for a big brand or business, this is obviously the one to go for, with a $99 minimum after the trial period ends.
