GMAIL VS OUTLOOK.COM
A lot of spend a good time checking their email and this has become an important part of our daily lives; a lot of people use email for the purpose of work; this the reason why most users want the best email platforms available. Using the best computer service will imply that the work will get done faster and errors will be very minimal.
Outlook is now the largest email service provider (which is the new face of Microsoft’s Hotmail) and Gmail (developed by Google). A lot of people left Outlook for Gmail, yet many users have chosen to keep their Outlook accounts while also using Gmail.
The major notable difference between Outlook and Gmail is the amount of storage space available on both. On the release of the Gmail account to the public, the free storage was 1GB which was a large amount when compared to the space offered by Hotmail. Hotmail has been on the market longer than Gmail, and this made it more trustworthy to its users.
Gmail Vs Outlook
Right now, Gmail offers 15GB of free storage to its users, along with Google Drive, the cloud service developed by Google. It is always to determine how much space Microsoft offers through its Outlook service, but there’s Microsoft’s OneDrive and Office 365 and this allows the users access of 1TB of storage space, but this is a paid alternative. Similarly, Google allows users to pay for additional storage space.
Considering the appearance of the platforms, most users prefer a clean and uncluttered interface. At the moment, both services (Outlook and Gmail) has an intuitive interface where the user can easily find all of the functions considered useful when managing its email messages. Both platforms have organization systems such as; (folders in the case of Outlook and labels on Gmail). But when it comes to finding content, Gmail has the upper hand.
The search bar on Gmail uses the same Google search engine which is common and loved by all. (This makes it easy to find specific strings of text on the inbox; You can easily see the sender, subject, or a piece of text in the message; and the Gmail search function will find it without too much trouble). Outlook’s search function serves the same purpose, but not as effective as the Gmail because it cannot look for every message in every folder at the same time. On Gmail‘s search engine browser, open mail inbox to find the content you want.
Try out both and find out which one suits your needs the best If you are not sure of which email provider to choose.
