Any game that meets these criteria is eligible for a refund, but skins, coins, and other consumables are not.

Click the game to be refunded and select Request a Refund on the Epic Games website: Account > Transactions > Purchase History.

How to Get a Refund from the Epic Games Store

To request a refund on an Epic Games Store purchase, you must meet two requirements.

The game must have been acquired within the last 14 days.

You must have spent no more than two hours playing the game.

You can seek a refund if your purchase fits these criteria.

To obtain a refund for purchases, you must go to the website. The Epic Games Launcher is unable to handle refunds.

Log in to your Epic Games account by going to the Epic Games website.

Hover your mouse over the image of your profile in the upper right corner of the screen.

From the menu, choose Account.

The General Settings options will instantly open on the Account page. Select Transactions from the left navigation bar.

Purchase History is automatically opened from the Transactions page. Choose the name of the game for which you want a refund.

A menu appears beneath the game’s title. Request Refund from the drop-down menu.

The game’s name and order ID appear at the top of a Request Refund dialog box. Select a reason for the refund request from the dropdown menu offered. You have the following options:

This game is not playable for me.

This game will not run on my computer.

The Title Didn’t Appeal To Me.

I bought this book by accident.

The request may take a few moments to process; once it does, you’ll see a confirmation in your Purchase History that Epic Games has processed your refund.

If you request a refund and then change your mind, you can cancel it by replying to the confirmation email from Epic Games support. This only works if the refund hasn’t previously been processed.

It may take a few days for the money to be reimbursed to your account after the Epic Games Store has processed your refund. Epic Games will apply the refund to the account you used to purchase the game, and the timing of the return is mostly determined on the bank that backs your payment method.

Requesting a Refund in the Epic Games Store: Some Pointers
There are a few factors to bear in mind when requesting a refund for an Epic Games Store purchase:

Epic Games will not refund your money if you bought the game anywhere else. If you want a refund, you’ll have to go back to the original store where you made the purchase.

Some games are marked as non-refundable on the Epic Games Store. You will not be able to request a refund for these games.

You will not be eligible for a refund if you have been banned from a game or have violated the Epic Games Terms of Service.

If your original payment method is not eligible for a refund, a member of the Support team will contact you to arrange a different method of refunding your purchase.
