nigeria states and slogan

List of Nigerian States, Capitals & their Slogans

In addition to their capitals, there are 36 states in Nigeria, which make up the 36 states of the Nigerian federation. Nigeria’s 36 states are categorized under six different geographical zones; the South West, South-South, South East, North West, North East, and North Central are the titles. Beyond the geopolitical zoning scheme, there is a slogan for each state in Nigeria. More generally referred to or referred to as Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is not known as a state in Nigeria, but as the seat of power of the country. The FCT is not under any state government, but under the direct leadership of the number one man, the president of the nation.

How States in Nigeria Got their Slogans:

In Nigeria, some state slogans have historical/religious/cultural or occupational undertones to them. States that take pride in farming, for example, have something in their slogan that relates to farming. A good example is Benue, whose slogan is ‘The Nation’s Food Basket’. Ebonyi’s slogan,’ The Salt of the Country,’ is another example, signifying the enormous presence of salt in the state. Located in Ebonyi, Royal Salt is a business.
