Facebook has had a number of controversies recently. It spent much of 2018 being forced to deal with the fallout from the Cambridge Analytica data scandal and has also suffered setbacks due to data breaches and data protection rules. Like its sibling Instagram, it has been plagued by the problem of the fake account.
But perhaps you wonder whether Facebook has a future. Do people still use the expression? Can it still be used in marketing? Despite FTC lawsuits, Twitter is still hanging in. The network is filled with many influencers who help marketers promote their products and brand awareness.
Why do you prefer Facebook for Influencer Marketing?
Instagram has grown to be the star of Facebook’s stable social media apps in many ways. Yet Grandpa Facebook is still performing well. It may no longer be the social network of choice for teenagers, but it can still claim dominance of the social market, with more than 2.32 billion active users at the end of 2018. That was a one-nine percent year-to-year increase. Almost 66% of these users log on to their Facebook accounts on a daily basis, with Facebook claiming 1.52 billion active users on a daily basis by the end of December 2018.
We’re not talking about Facebook influencer marketing as much as we do about Instagram marketing. But if you’re targeting a demographic that uses Facebook, it makes sense that that’s where you’re focusing your influencer marketing activity. And, of course, there’s no shortage of Facebook influencers. It’s a very well-established network, and some influencers have had a long time to build their name and reputation.
According to respondents to the 2018 CPC Strategy survey, almost 70% of them said they are more likely to hear about new products, services, and events on Facebook than anywhere else.

If you have previously performed influencer campaigns only on various sites, then using Facebook influencers is not substantially different from using them on Instagram, Twitter, or even YouTube. It is merely a case of selecting the best influencers on their social network of choice for your target audience. However, as always, you should start by setting your objectives.
Determine your marketing goals, KPIs, and target audience.
Phase One really should occur before you consider which social network(s) you are using for marketing influencers. Your whole campaign should be underpinned by your objectives. You may already know your target market well, though, and recognize that they are the kind of individuals who like to spend time reading, watching, and listening to their favorite influencers on Facebook.
Influencer marketing is an extension of content marketing in many ways; it is a way to extend your content distribution even further than you can accomplish yourself. You either create content for influencers to share with their audiences or, ideally, set content criteria and allow influencers in their typical styles to create appropriate content, so that the content is authentic to their audiences.
What you expect from your campaign are your objectives. If you have not established a specific objective for it, there is no point in pursuing a campaign. You need to shape the whole strategy of the campaign around the objectives you set. Key performance indicators (KPIs) must also be developed, so you have a way to assess your campaign objectives as you progress and can determine the success or failure of your campaign.

Attracting a new market
Growing your own social media followers (i.e., influencers refer their followers to your social pages)
Customer retention
This is also where you think carefully about who the campaign’s target demographic is. For instance, who do you hope would take an interest in your campaign if you want to create brand awareness? Where do they, socially, hang out? You probably already know the kinds of people who purchase your goods if you are looking to boost sales, so you should have a good understanding of their favorite social media again.
If you’re trying to draw a new client, you really need to think carefully about who the new market will be. You could even develop a customer identity that reflects your future new customers. The social networks that they love will again be a crucial part of this.
If the answers to your question suggest that the target market is spending time on Facebook for your latest influencer marketing campaign, then it makes sense to target Facebook influencers for your campaign.
