Deactivate Account Option – How to Deactivate My Facebook Account: Who advises you otherwise that you can’t deactivate your Facebook profile account temporarily or better still permanently delete your Facebook account? Though we may agree that Facebook is the easiest or one of the easiest and convenient ways to get in touch with our family, friends, loved ones, and acquaintances, we may as well be biased by thinking like that because not everyone can value things in the same way.

I just remembered what my friend posted before he had to completely delete his FB account, and I quote him saying, “I once had a life until someone asked me to create a Facebook account” – It sounded funny but true.

How to Deactivate Facebook Account

You can easily deactivate your Facebook profile temporarily and you will have the option to come back whenever you want.

To deactivate your account:

  • Click the account menu  at the top right of any Facebook page
  • Select Settings
  • Click General in the left column or visit: web.facebook.com/settings?tab=account
  • Choose to Manage your account then follow the steps to confirm

Note: When you deactivate your account, you can always reactivate it back, and no one will connect with you through out the deactivation period – no one will see your activities, profile, etc.
